Description:

Senior engineer responsible for the specification, design and deployment of a Rambus mobile DRAM. Duties to include:

• Specifying and designing the Rambus interface for a mobile DRAM.
• Working with appropriate in-house engineering teams to develop the design and infrastructure (architecture, design, VT budget, test, package, memory sub-system development, etc.) required for device specification and mass production.
• Develop the collateral necessary to transfer the design and associated technology to multiple DRAM partners.
• Customer interface to DRAM partners providing technical support for Rambus mobile products.
• Support Rambus Sales and Marketing group providing customer, application and marketing support for Rambus mobile products.
• Supervise and mentor junior design engineers

Qualifications: Education, Experience, Skills, Etc.

Requirements: minimum BSEE or equivalent with 8+ years experience

• Mixed signal design skills with knowledge of high speed circuits.
• Familiarity with memory subsystem architectures and DRAM core operation
• Experience with low power design (specifically in the Mobile industry), process, test techniques, especially in the mobile DRAM space.
• Third party technology transfer experience.
• Good communication and inter-personal skills.
• Travel required

Job Description

This student internship, under direct mentorship, will participate in support, development, and testing of applications using existing and emerging technology platforms. The intern will collaborate with IT colleagues and business partners to understand and document user requirements, and participate in the solution development and testing. Communicates status and technical information to both technical and non-technical personnel. May assist on projects to ensure that roll out to end users is planned and performed well.

Responsibilities:

• Provide entry level professional services as appropriate to support the day-to-day project activities.
• Research and/or troubleshoot software problems recommending solution alternatives.
• Participate in project management activities and the planning process.
• Report to mentor on the status of project efforts.
• Develop and implement technical designs
• Participate in testing and deployment processes

Qualifications

• Good problem solving skills and ability to think “outside of the box”
• Exposure to software development and languages (Java, .Net, Perl)
• Knowledge of Unix/Linux or Windows environments
• Familiar with application technology stack
• Great collaboration skills and experience working in a team environment
• Prefer Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or other technical degrees with computer training
• Students must have a Junior or Senior level standing
• Students must be able to provide own housing near the Los Altos office, no housing or relocation is provid
