As a Network Administrator you will work as part of a highly technical team of professionals who support the heterogeneous Network across sites with complex networks. You will utilize your strong technical background and related experience to positively contribute to the department’s goals and vision for advancing NetApp’s network systems infrastructure. Essential Functions:

The Network Administrator 3 works as part of Engineering Support team towards Design, Develop & manage the Networks in the Labs & Engineering Datacenters. The Network Administrator would also provide support for network servers in the Labs & Engineering Datacenters including general administration and management. The specific areas of responsibilities include:

- Perform monitoring and maintenance of overall NetApp Engineering Lab network systems and applications.

- Provide troubleshooting for assigned level, operating system upgrades, capacity planning and provisioning on a daily basis.

- Update process documentation and team websites as required.

- Provide analysis of performance while identifying issues and working with more experienced team members for resolution.

- Manage load configurations and provide recommendations for improving performance.

- Work with Senior team members on review of entire environment and executing initiatives to reduce failures, defects and improving overall performance.

- Communicate with internal customers, peers, and managers regarding network systems administration issues.

- Manage equipment tracking (e.g. consoles, cables etc.)

- Perform change controls.

- Provide instructions and guidance on best practices to junior members of the team.

- Use scripting languages to automate tasks and gather data.

- Communicate with internal customers, peers, and managers regarding network administration issues, and recommend solutions.

- Strong oral and written communication skills; including documentation.

- Ability to work collaboratively within Engineering Support team to support deadlines; ability to work independently as well.

- The tasks this individual is responsible for are often non-routine and unstructured, requiring creative solutions.

- This individual will apply attained experiences and knowledge in solving routine to moderately complex problems.

- This individual will focus on the future expansions, Capacity Planning, etc.

Interaction:

- This individual must work effectively with Staff to Vice President level employees within the function, and the technical team on assigned projects. There may be communication with employees in other functions as required.

- Limited management direction is provided to employee on new projects or assignments as well as review of activities and priorities.

- The ideal candidate will be a proactive contributor and subject matter expert on team projects.

- To be successful, this individual must demonstrate favorable results through coaching and influencing others

Education & Experience:- A minimum of 5 years of experience is required; 6 to 8 years of experience is preferred. – A Bachelor of Sciences Degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Sciences, or related technical field is required; or equivalent experience.- Demonstrated ability to have completed multiple, moderately complex technical tasks
